This is a maintenance release that fixes several bugs and improves reliability by replacing Kowari with Mulgara. See below for more detail.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- FCREPO-243: Support Mulgara in 2.2.x.
For the Resource Index, the Kowari option has been replaced by support for Mulgara. Kowari is no longer maintained and Mulgara is a more stable, actively-maintained project.
- FCREPO-378: Support for SPARQL via risearch interface.
Added support for the W3C SPARQL standard for query of the Resource Index. This included an update to Trippi to support SPARQL as a "tuples" query format.
- FCREPO-374: Concurrency error in DOValidatorImpl.
Morten Grouleff submitted a patch to fix a temporary file naming issue he discovered while running concurrent ingests. File naming is now done in a thread-safe manner.
- FCREPO-252: Old admin client forward compatibility.
The Administrator client application formerly checked the server version and disallowed login if it wasn't in a list of "known compatible" versions. It now simply warns instead, since it is often the case that old versions of the client will work with newer versions of the server.
